Running old leaky barko where i live is between about 7500-12k ish depending on looks. If the truck can build air and drive away its toward the higher end. If its dead it needs a heavy wrecker tow which makes for a somewhat tough sell at any price. If it was on a trailer with tires that will get home and the grapple works.. Maybe $8-10 in average shape. Terrible looks, problems and missing parts will bring it toward the bottom. Theres a nice husky with bad engine been for sale a while at $2500, for example. But fixing it at your house versus the sellers house makes a big big difference in number of interested parties.
The market for that machine is either a small sawmill or a guy with a cable skidder who cuts small lots. Unfortunately there are not many of the latter guys around. I could use a machine like that around the mill for sure. If it runs, moves, and didn't need a bunch of work to be dependable then I would pay in the $5K range. Gotta figure that parts might be hard to find for some of the components.
A LOT closer to your home base, don't see old barkos pop up often, old/older prentice on yard trucks $2500-10k Sounds like based on that and what the other guys are saying you're looking at the 5-10 range depending on condition of loader and truck. Sorry you have to even worry about this, estates are no fun :-\
I got a totally beat old Prentice on a F700 for $3500 a few years ago. Welds and repairs say it was probably rolled at some point so the wore out price. And yes the old valving is no longer supported so either will have to replace or have a shop rebuild, likely more than it is worth.
This prentice telestick on a truck went for $8500 in kansas today. Not quite the same but not too far off.Prentice Telstick 33 on 1994 International 2654 6x4 Tri/A Articulating Boom Truck in Olathe, Kansas, United States (TruckPlanet Item #4420521)
This loader is not a piece of junk it is old had the motor rebuilt 7 years ago. It has small leaks, nothing major. Got good power in hydro's starts good with a small sniff when it is cold. Everything works it's just old and slow. The carrier starts and drives, just old. I dont want to get rid of it, But may have to. Thank you for the replies, log on and be safe. There are pics of the loader on williamstimberharvesting facebook page. Thanks again
Don't do the fb thing and maybe others don't but would know more if they have a pic? Here's a jwilly post from 2018, is this the loader? Sounds like itQuote from: jwilly3879 on June 19, 2018, 01:37:32 PMGot into some nice hardwood last weekend.Logs and firewood. Shipped the logs yesterday.New old loader mount (1972 White 4000) same year as the loader.Took picture out of his post so you don't have to click on link to make it show up
Its cleaner than i expected. If you can jump in, air up, drive to the landing and load logs... I bet you can find someone who will give up to $15k with a bit of patience and fielding a lot of annoying phone calls. Condition of tires hoses glass and seats are the finishing touches that give people a good or bad opinion.
Definitely not the image I had in my mind.
Honestly 5-7k. Friend of mine just bought a 2005 435 Deere 8k hours with an almost NEW CTR saw for 20k bucks. Your niche is like Mike said, the sawmill or small cable guy if your looking to sell. Again im sorry to hear about your dad.

The truck no rear lights head lights may work? But it does drive, 8 speed tranny, seat in truck is good. needs a throttle return spring. Love that old thing, hpoe I dont have to sell it. Thank you for posting the pic, I am not tech savy.
This loader was well taking care of RIP jwilly!!!!
If that loader is still in as good of condition as the photos that is something, usually ones that age have the truck cab about beat off and the loader is rusty and dented. If it was out here in the NW people would be asking/listing around $7500-$10,000
Thank you all for the responses. Hope I don't have to let it go. We only logged part time and jwilly loved that loader. I think if I have to sell it 10k. It works great, start at 10 then who knows. It was bought for 11 then had to move from NH, so 12 in it plus new rebuild 7 years ago, most rams redone. the cab does tip for lowboy moving. Log on and stay safe!!!
