Alright, I'll try this again. My last post didn't actually post. I ordered a 2022 259D3 about a month ago. It comes in this Friday. In the meantime my dealer asked if I'd like to see a slightly demo'd 289D3. I am trading in my 333G and my sales rep thought this machine might feel more like home. The whole point in trading in my 333G is I wanted something a little smaller frame wise, foot print wise and I wanted to get away from DEF...

I would go for the 259D3 since it aligns more with your original intention of getting a smaller framed machine. Plus, getting 9K back is a good deal.

The rip in the track of the 289D3 could potentially cause problems down the line. I think the new and smaller 259D3 with the additional 9K is the smarter choice.

If the 289D3 feels more like home to you, maybe you should consider it. But the rip in the track is a definite downside, especially if you're looking to avoid any immediate maintenance costs.

The 259D3 seems like it fits your needs better, and getting rid of DEF is a huge plus. I'd steer clear of the 289D3 due to the ripped track.
