Assigning multiple employees to a task

Actual Question

Hi! If you ask this question for a released work order, you must use the "Schedule Labor" tab in work order records (Datastream 7i EAM 8.3). But if you want to schedule work orders before they are generated, you must write a pre-insert trigger in the database on the r5events table.

A work-around is to use the Tenant field for a second Assignee. First you will have to enter your maintenance employees as Tenants. Many users do not use the "Assigned by" field. Another work-around would be to use this field for a further Assignee. You can change the name of the field to reflect the new use. Hope this helps, Donal

I have solved the issue. Made the equipment automatically assign to the responsible maintenance tech, then used the woschedule field to assign the actual maintenance doing the work. Used Crystal Reports to generate a report that is emailed to each tech in the woe table.
