Actual Question

Ohhh..... I like!!!!!!! Details..... how did you rig up the hoses, and control for it? Does it get in the way for normal digging? is it removable??

Doesn't look like it moves. It has a three point top bar as a brace.

Looks like it attaches to thge pin where the buicket folds under as you dig---I'd like to see a closerr up pic...:thThumbsU

Here are so more views--- If you can see the "O" welded just under the mounting for the top link, that is for storage when not in use. I remove the adjustable top link and swang the thumb up. I can back up to a brush pile, grab a load and transport it. I can also pull up small trees and bushes. Over the years, I have owned three different Backhoes and this is my first thumb. Makes a machine much more useful. I considered buying one but at about $700.00 to 1K to me that is overpriced. I bought the cut material from a metal fabrication shop for less then $200.00.:trink39:

Nice work there! A fixed thumb can be a handy on a hoe, especially when clearing land or tearing up houses/ demo work, and a hydraulic thumbe is not an option or just too spendy / complex to retrofit.

From this angle, how far down will your link adjust? Looks good.:trink40:
