Yup, we're a bit late with spring cleaning thanks to our Ice-Apocalypse in February and then my generator project. I've been neglecting cleaning off the grease that's been accumulating in the many pin ends on the boom and stick and Bobby was looking pretty sad and tired. I bought a gallon of super duper world's best degreaser (Zep) now 25% stronger at Lowe's to use on the hoe, I was going to spray it on with the pressure washer and let it sit for a few minutes, etc. and wash off. I mixed it at the strongest recommended concentration (20 oz/gallon) - the verdict is meh 😐. I sprayed the boom and stick twice and sprayed off twice with my 4,000 psi pressure washer and the grease sort of came off if I got really close to it with the spray tip. After wasting a bunch of time with Zep, I used blue shop towels (an entire roll) and naphtha which did a great job. Mineral spirits would have worked well but I was fresh out. Now I won't be dropping blobs of grease in the garage where I park Bobby 🤠.
