We are running Datastream 7i version 7.10. Every time I create a ROUTE I manually add in the equipment, one at a time. I do not think you can use the Upload Utility for this and I don't think its safe loading the values in on the back end. The DB is a mess of related and orphaned tables.
To add equipment to an existing route, select work/work order planning/routes from the menu bar. Click on the route and then click on the equipment tab. You will see a place to enter all the equipment on your route in the "equipment details" section. The upload utility can be used for adding new equipment, but you can't associate equipment to routes with it. Please send me a note if you have additional questions about routes or the import utility. Jennifer
Here I was thinking I must be doing this wrong! Thanks, Smink
In my opinion, you can use two ways to create Route and add the equipment to the created one. - The first way: is creating in Infor EAM interface; you should refer to the method of Jennifer above. - The second one: is using database tool and bulk load data from an Excel file. I think this way matches the case when you have many data. You can do it by: - Using a database tool like PLSQL: free version is OK - Query to the r5routes, r5routobjects table. The table stores the information about the route and relationship between route and assets. - You can export the existing results in these tables to a .csv file and add more rows to it. After that, use that .csv to reload to the db using Text Importer tool (Tools|Text Importer) - You can use this method for other tables and another kind of data (Objects, Class, Part, and so on). Trong Please feel free to contact me about Infor EAM at nguyenhuutrong@credent.com.vn
Have you tried using dynamic routes? Create a route template and flag the equipment that needs to be on the Route. Then, whenever you create a WO for this route, it will look for any / all equipment that should be on the route and place them on the WO. I may have a doc somewhere that shows how this works. I can dig through my archives if you need it. Let me know. Steve s_schwabe@msn.com 804-337-6464
Anyone from here who can send me a quotation or give me more details about Datastream 7i software. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to All!!
