Hi Everyone,
I've been lurking around this forum for a while, but finally decided to post about my JD 410 backhoe. I picked it up in decent shape, but it's got some hydraulic issues that seem to get worse as the tractor warms up. Initially, everything works fine, but as it gets hot, the hydraulics barely function, and the engine makes strange noises unless the hydraulics are used. The fluid is at the slightly full mark on the dipstick. I've also checked the obvious such as filter and bad seals. Any thoughts?

Sounds as if the pump is going or gone. The only true way to tell is to use a flowmeter which puts a load on the system the same time as measuring the flow...

My hydraulics experience is mainly with industrial machines... Check the suction lines to make sure the pump is not starving for oil.
