Multiple Machines Covered on a Single Work Order

Actual Question

I do not know Datastream but: Are the equipment linked to a higher hierarchy equipment or system in your structure? For example, the complete HVAC system has an ID number in the system and all AHU are linked to it. You may generate the order for the equipment ID of the HVAC System and have individual instructions for the AHU's on the route.

Thank you for the input Alex. We have yet to determine our equipment hierarchy. We planned to break it down for enough to track meaningful information on assets without going too far into the component level. My question is related to the area that might be covered on a route. For instance, a lubrication route would be a good example. Many programs handle electric motors as an all-inclusive time-based event. How do you go about showing an individual asset such as a motor has been addressed via the route without having to enter some kind of activity to the individual asset? Having such information show up on the backlog is important to me as well as the planner. As I mention before it would be nice to see if the PM had been performed on the asset rather than the system. Also, it's not uncommon for such routes to cover all the assets for several systems. Individual tracking programs tend to work well because they are route based. So, how do you go about getting that information from the lubrication tracking program to the CMMS System?

DataStream offers an Inspection Management Module, but I'm not sure how it works or if it will meet my needs.

Waylon, give me a call. Randal

Waylon, do you already have a test environment?
