On the front of the below the base of the boom is the following Numbers in Large Size...39465Above this is a Plate and it has 22S1132D2and Below it 109Dyna...do you have any idea what it weighs.....Have been told it is i the neighborhood of 120,000#...I bought this and the Bay City Crane next to it of $2000...Not missing any zero's...Track Hoe includes 4' Bucket and a Grapel....Missing on eboom cylinder that was misplaced after the previous owner died just after paying for its overhaul....still supposed to be around...I need to move it 65 miles so I need the weight so I can tell a trucking company....Runs great...wish it did not have a detroit in it....Previous owner's kid just wanted the two pieces out of his hair..... and I have a use for it....crane is sold already....

:drinkupHi racenitro, I believe it weighs 82,000 pounds, I have the brochure in my attic and will get it down soon and help you with any thing I can. And I LOVE detroits:drinkup

Racenitro, if in fact it is 120,000 lbs that would make it a 2500ointhead

Where would I finda serial number tag?I have looked and not found anything except the numbers posted above.Last detroit I had was a 318 in one of my COE IH Tractors....Yard Tractor had a 238 also....Everythiing else since has had CumminsDynahoe...Thanks for your help.....I can't find one scrap of info in the internet except here regarding this machine. The weight is critical as a Trucking Co wants $47/mile to move it....From my past trucking company owner experiences, that seems a little high...especially when a yearly OD permit is $500.....

p&h hoeHi Racenitro, I brought down my h2500 spec sheet and I will help you with whatever I can. The h2500 weighs111,630lbs with 2yard bucket and 30 inch double grouser shoes. It runs a great engine too, 8-v-71 with 274 hp @ 2300 rpm. Great machine, I remember hearing they were very powerful but on the slow side. I would jump at the chance to run that beast any day of the week since I like the older rigs better. They all had theyre own character, now there isnt a dimes worth of difference between them.:usa

Dyna...Thanks...I got in tough with a former owner. He says it is definitely a 2500 and he said it weighed113,00.The dfference is probably the fact that it has a grappelinsead of a bucket on it.,Does the counterweight weight 12 tons...that is what the former owner says.I ond a hauler to move it for under $1000 for 65 miles...seems reasonable to me.The former owner says this machine has less than 500 hours on it. The tracks, rollers, pins etc all see to indicate that he is correct. The manuals are floating around somewhere so I hope I can locate them also. I have the entire chain of ownership so I can get a good history of any problems. If you are in the St. Louis are, come on by and take it for a turn.Would be interested in lifting, breakout and drawbar specifications. Thanks MuchRacenitro

p&h hoeThanks racenitro, sorry but I dont have any plans to be around there so I can only imagine cranking up that 8-71 and moving some earth. the lift capacity is 29,800lbs 15 feet out and 10 high the counterweight is 25,000lbs. Good luck with that rig brother.:usa

Scott:Thanks for the phone call. THis site is a great help and much appreciated.I got a chance to put in new batteries and hit the switch....that 8V71 fired right up...Oil pressure 35#....Purrs like a kitten....Everything works as it should except one ruptured hyd line and the return line from the engine has a small leak under the fuel tank. You are right...it is a little slow but hey...I'm old and a little slow also so it will be a perfect fit.Got to make a set of Counter weight lifting cables so I can lower the counter weight onto my lo boy and then The hauler I have contracted with can haul it to my farm. Now all I have to do is get rid of the old Bay City Crane Mobile Model T-52.... Had to buy it as a package deal with the excavator. Also, found some manuals on e-bay today and they are on their way here....Did some research and apparently O&K of Germany licensed P & H to build this H-2500 here in the states.Need to find info on O&K....Also Terex is mentioned in the same info source. The info says it was made as a 3.5 Cu Yd machine. This machine is very tight. No pin wear that I can see or feel.Typical detroit..does have several small oil leaks....Would not be a Detroit unless it had some...LOLAgain Scott...Thanks for all of your info and help.Frank

p&h hoeMy pleasure frank, good luck my brother:usa

Looks lika a model 1250-p&h.Contact Terex in Southaven .ississippi-they have people there from P&h .Ron

Scott...Just a short update. The final transportation cost was $800.00...I got it down to 82,000# by removing the counterweight, grapple, bucket and stick. Was not hard to remove and reassemble...Was not able to locate the missing boom cylinder but have since purchased a set of cylinders off another brand. The boom cylinders are identical in pin to pin length and mounting pin diameter. Having the ends machined to 4" from the 4.375"...Just like you said...slow, but that is a plus for me as I am old and slow so we fit together. The 8V-71 purrs. Except for pooping a couple of worn hoses...is a little costly on hydraulic oil, it is working great.Have scrapped the old Bay City crane and that means I got an excavator and money to boot....Definitely am not sorry I jumped on the deal.I was wondering if there would be any way I could pay you to copy the book you have on it and send it to me? I would be happy to send you payment in advance. Thanks Scott...Frank

2500 p&hdont be rediculous frank, I dont want any money off you. Let me find my spec sheet again and we will make arrangements. call me on my cell phone, 201 376 3099:usa

you might find manuals for it from jensales. Nice find on the old hoe. Its nice when you can scrap something and come out ahead, though it doesn't happen to often.
