Don't know the capacity but it uses 10W or AW32 hyd. oil. Knew a guy that had 5 H418's and 1 H1250 which was the newer version of the H418. I'm guessing your H312 has a Detroit diesel. You need to use straight weight oil specific for Detroit 2 strokes. Don't use something like 15W-40. Hopefully someone will see this thread and know a good oil to use.

what should I use for Hydraulic oil? I was checking out NAPA will this work:NAPA Proformer ISO AW 68 Red Hydraulic Oil, 18.9L??
That's too thick. You want an ISO AW 32 oil which is equivalent to 10 weight motor oil. AW 68 is equivalent to 20 weight motor oil and may cause damage to the hydraulics.
I think AW 68 is like 30 weight, AW 46 is like 20 weight.FWD
It depends on which chart you compare. A couple I looked listed AW 46 as 15 weight and AW 68 as 20 weight. Regardless AW 32 (10 weight) is the right oil for the P&H.
Thanks for the help. 10W it is. I glad I didn't fill it with the wrong stuff. You guys are a great replacement for a maintenance manual.
