You would hardly want an old coot like me?
I personally don't like gmail accounts, too many scams associated with them...here's my resume 30+ years operating ... excavator , backhoe, crane, dozer, blade, trencher, directional and auger drilling.Pm me with your phone number.

We have the rig moving division of the before mentioned company here moving rigs when they get a chance. They are often mentioned to as the "village idiots" in the drilling industry here.
roddyo said:I agree. At best this sounds like a Rat Outfit to me.Click to expand...That sounds about right.Any decent kind of pipeline company would not be on here looking for help. They would have people lined up waiting to work for them.

We should probably take 5 pounds of sugar also because if it's a Rat Outfit there may not be any in town for a week or soSince Lonestar Cobra brought it up I remembered something. I still know a few guys in the drilling side also and I heard about a big Cluster **** up on the East Coast a few weeks ago. At the time it went in one ear and come out the other but it seems like it was close to where they are working. It might take a week or two but I'll find out if it's the same bunch.:beatsme
Dam guys, I go hunting and come back to this? the reason for the gmail acct is that my personal and compamy accts would get so tied up I cant confuse them. The reason i am posting on heavy equip and weld web is because that's what i need.excuse me. joel
also, the reason i am posting is because i need experienced personel, we have over 500 units of equipment and over 300 pieces of rolling stock.38 80ton crawlers, boring equipment. again, the key word here is EXPERIENCE.and you are correct, it is T.K.www.tkstanley.comI am the Spread Boss and I do the hiring, not Corporate. If you chose to go the corporate office the chances are pretty slim I will never see your resume or app.We have much work coming up and this is a way for me to get a jump on suppling personel for the future.Again, opinions are like aholes, evry body's got one and if you are interested, fine. If not, thats fine too.
Yup the gas well drilling boom came through here in North Texas about 2-3 years ago. It is not completely gone but has def. slowed down quite a bit. I have heard about several people working that are chasing the work up there. I have stayed away from the oil and gas companies on purpose because I knew when the drilling was gone the work would also be gone. I am not interested in moving to where the work goes. Several guys are out of work around here with no plan. My customer base who is not in the oil and gas business are still going strong. JJ
All I've heard at my shop is how much the gas industry is going to blow up here in 2010 and beyond. We shall see. It will require NY to get it's head out of it's posterior.

Hi Wildhair, As you know, many good operators with experience often are already in work unless they are in between projects and maybe just waiting for something to turn up but again they cannot wait too long as they are whacking into their savings to get by. I know several guys who run spreads here and the hassles they have with some guys before they even start! Just so negative. The old adage applies...a good job follows you and a bad one gets there before you! I am always thankful I can get a crankup most times. All the best.
I'd put in my resume but from all the negativity I hear,my demands might not be taken seriously.1.$200,000 yr. salary, half payable up front[guarantee to get actual worth's salary at a minimum]2.Lodging at the local Hilton---jacuzzi room of course3.Platinum membership at the best strip club nearby[might be a hike here]4.meals on the company5.Tatania doing my laundry, cleaning the suite in her Russian schoolgirl outfit, and tucking me in bed every night.Well,I might compromise some if they would just leave #5 in the contract.:drinkup

I would hate to have to put together an experienced, Low Payed, Rat Crew in the North. You have to wonder about a pipeline guy that don't have enough connections to get help though. :beatsme I mean it's not like this is the last job of the year kicking off.Course the guy may be smart enough not to take his good hands up North since the Unions would probably sell them a book and send them to a good job.BTW, No one needs to think I'm all pro union either. I have had a couple of books in the past and used them working up North. Down here in the South it's pretty Ratty and that's ok too. I'm just sayin that when in Rome...................The North is Rome as far as Pipelines go IMO

You don't have to scroll down very far to find threads on this forum where guys are complaining about a lack of work. It seems to me that if i were out of work with no prospects around the corner i might try and get in touch with this guy.
As a fellow who lives in the area where this is going on, I can tell you there is a lot of work happening in Pa. right now. NY is still having the pissing contest with the enviro guys and it keeps getting pushed back about 90 days at a time. Most of the problem has to do with fracking of the wells not the site prep or drilling. Once they get the final approval all hell is going to break loose and operators will be in big demand. I know of over 8 guys who recently took on jobs in Pa. to get in on it. They are making pretty good money and 2 have their own equipment sitting as they are making a whole lot more money running for others. If you are working for next to nothing running your own iron it is better to park it for a while and just go dig for a while.
I'm with Buster on this...One thing we all need to remember is that its important to give folks a chance, while alot of relevant criticisms were brought out in the following comments, employment is still important to all of us, and info; on whats going on is what we all need to be aware of.Happy new year!
what is the pipeline water gas etc haw big haw long job is for
Volvobl......they made it legal to drill for oil and gas in in the lower 48 states...every contractor and few spring ups are going nuts over anything a geologist sez might be a well and they can get approval for....

I would think most of the big pipeline work will be done in the next 5 years with smaller tie in and storage wells after that. They are scheduled out 5-7 years just on drilling and fracking already.

Everything will be gang busters and then all of a sudden with no warning there will be the next big thin g and bammm. JJ

We are excepting Resumes for the following positions:Spread Boss /project managerFront Line SupervisionPipe layout EngineersEquipment Operators, Dozer, Excavator, side boom, grader, etc.WeldersCrew LeadersWell I have been working pipeline for 9 years now from New York to New Mexico and everywhere in between. I also live in pa and know alot of very experienced people in the area and after looking at the work that your company has done I'm sure that we could teach you a thing or two. I looked at Ts's web site and the pics of pipeline work are very unprofessional. The only thing is that I only work union. Think about this for one second your company could come up here to pa sign an agreement for this job and work with the Operating Engineers and have qualified operators who know the work and what there doing. Several other companies have come to pa and signed agreements with only the operators. Do yourself and your company a favor call this number its the union hall for Operating Engineers local 542717-541-0944 get some info!!
if its a lot of work il come over there from the uk are you taking any owner operators haw long is the pipeline
Vovlobl, the USA will bury you in paperwork and costs trying to get in....I'm kinda interested to know whats going to happen if no call is made to that union local...I got that exact same (above) lecture while running an asphalt mill on Long Island years ago and I was better than any operator the union could send which is why I was operating it.
yeah paper paper paper its evrywhere you go im hoping on going over soon for a holiday and theres still all this paperwork
